2017

Hallo, the coming 2018..

First of all, let’s talk about your sis (or bro, or wathever you’d like to call it), the 2017. It has been amazing year so far. The combination amount of work, learning, connecting, and relaxing is somehow fine. I feel a bit more balance rather than 2016, so it’s a good thing.

But yeah, like many others who want to make the most of their life, I don’t want to stop. I want my life to be better next year. I want to cross those glaring goal that is hanging since I graduated in 2015 (my friend, you might know about it but I don’t want to make it obvious).

However, I do thankful for every bit of laugh, various of experience, or even tears which makes 2017 a hell of ride.

Like many other human being who wants to be better, end year seems like a perfect moment to contemplate and evaluate on my value for your sis, the 2017. Of course, I failed on some parts especially on “dicipline my self” part. So I keep that value and put it on priority for you, 2018.

And if you notice it, what I make from time to time is not a resolution. I called them values. Value is something that I can consult to whenever I’m trying to make decision. It’s the bigger picture of where and how I want to become. Some area that I would like to improve.

Set “Gain 5 more kilos” goal no more.

I’ve tried resolutions before but in my experience, the more practical it is, the more I tend to fail on it. So by setting values, I can be more fluid on my actions but also aligned with the initial vision.

And so hey 2018 (please pay attention!), these are values that I would like to hold onto:

  1. Dicipline
Don’t be easy to yourself. And don’t rely on motivation!
  2. Others
Make time to connect with family and friends. Be authentically interested on their story. Stay open and don’t make assumpsions. Also, don’t be judgemental!
  3. Extroversion
Participate more on outside activity. Listen & share your own story. And learn to initiate!
  4. Growth
Believe in yourself & don’t put limit on your ability. Read more book & broaden your book selection.
  5. Authenticity
Be really intentional on your decision. Listen to others but remember to ask your own self. Be inspired but do it in your own way.
  6. Wealth
Get better on budgeting priority. Allocate budget for unexpected expenses. Invest more!
  7. Health
Join yoga class for fox sake! Cook more and bake more!
  8. Fun
Get moving, throw some humor, and be more expressive. Oh, and don’t overthink!

So yeah, let’s rock and let me repeat once more.

Don’t rely on motivation!
